No, music (game license) is to be used in the game only. To promote your game using our music, please purchase the approriate Online Video license (YouTube/Web.. etc).
Posting a gameplay recording on online platforms and social media is allowed if the music is not re-added into the video but recorded straight from the game itself together with the game’s sound effects.
Can I use music from the same pack in different games/video?
Yes, as long as each music is only used once in each of the different ONE end product.
Can I use your music in a stand-alone music track or perform it? What about sound effects?
You may not use music in both stand-alone music tracks and for performance as our music is available to license for synchronization in media productions (websites, videos, DVDs, TV broadcasts, films, games, etc.) as background music.
Example: Adding lyrics or editing our music into to an audio track and selling it on iTunes or performing it is a copyright infringement.
However, you can use our sound effects in a music track or a performance.
Can I use both music and sound effects in multiple end products?
Only for sound effects, our single user license for sound effects can be used in unlimited end products. For music, all licenses are only for ONE end product (except for Non-Profit Media). To use the same music in another end product, you will have to purchase another license.
What are allowed variations of a single application?
1. Translations – the same game/end product simply translated into a different language (text / voice-over).
2. Cut-downs – a shortened version of an end product where no new content has been added (Example a 15 second, 30 second trimmed down version from a 60 second video)
Do I need a separate license each time I use an item in a series?
Yes, each game/end product in a series is considered a new product so you will need to purchase another license.
Do I need a separate license for different online or social media platforms?
No, you can post the video on mutiple platforms as long as it is within the license’s audience reach.
What if I can't decide on which music license to get?
You can purchase the lowest license first (Music:’Common’, ‘Silver’, SFX: ‘Game’) and upgrade when necessary. Do purchase the pack/music track with an account on our website so you can upgrade the pack/music track from your order history. It will deduct away the amount you already paid.
For example, if the ‘Common’ License for a Music Pack cost $24.90, and the ‘Rare’ License cost $70.90, you only need to pay the $46 balance for the upgrade.
When and how do I upgrade the license I purchased?
Take note that license upgrade is only applicable by pack or track. There is no crossover upgrade either way.
When: Upgrade license when the product exceeds the limit of ‘Audience Reach’ of the license purchased.
How: To upgrade license, go to your ‘Orders History’ and click ‘Upgrade’. The updated license will automatically be added to cart with the amount previously paid deducted.
(License upgrade is only available when you purchased with an account. You can also email us with your invoice number to apply for a discounted upgrade.)
